The Condition Before Detailing

This vehicle’s interior needed a thorough deep cleaning. Dirt, debris, spots and staining had accumulated throughout the seats, carpets, floor mats and other interior surfaces.

Special attention was also needed in the areas that are easy to overlook, including between and underneath the seats, cup holders, storage compartments, cracks and crevices, door jambs and the trunk.

My Interior Detailing Process

I started by thoroughly vacuuming the interior, including the seats, carpets, floor mats, trunk, underneath the seats and between the seats. Cup holders, compartments, cracks and crevices were also carefully cleaned to remove accumulated dirt and debris.

Next, I used professional steam cleaning and hot water extraction where appropriate to deep clean the carpets, floor mats and fabric upholstery. These methods help loosen and extract embedded dirt, grime, spills and staining from the material.

Interior vinyl and leather surfaces were thoroughly cleaned and conditioned. I also cleaned the interior windows, door jambs and other commonly overlooked areas to give the entire interior a finished appearance.

Exterior Detailing

The service didn’t stop with the interior. The vehicle’s exterior was thoroughly washed and decontaminated to remove surface dirt and bonded contaminants before a paint sealant was applied for added gloss and protection.

The wheels, wheel wells, rims and tires were cleaned, and the tires were dressed. I also cleaned the exterior windows, door jambs and gas cap area as part of the detailing process.

The Finished Results

After several hours of detailed cleaning, the difference was significant. The seats, carpets, floor mats and interior surfaces looked considerably cleaner, while the exterior received the same attention to detail.

Every vehicle is different, and detailing results can vary depending on the condition of the vehicle, the type and age of stains or spots, and the materials being cleaned. Although professional detailing can significantly improve many stains and imperfections, some permanent staining or discoloration may not be completely removable.
